# Set up your ServerPilot account

If you haven’t [created your ServerPilot account](https://manage.serverpilot.io/signup) yet, do that now before continuing.

The following video shows how to set up your ServerPilot account.

## Free trial

New ServerPilot accounts get a 14-day free trial. During the free trial, you can connect a server and create an app that uses the server’s IP address as the app’s preview domain.

To end the free trial and begin using all of ServerPilot’s features, add a payment method to your account.

## Add a payment method

To enable all of ServerPilot’s features, add a payment method in your account’s [Billing settings](https://manage.serverpilot.io/account/billing).

Two payment methods are supported:

1. Credit card  
2. PayPal prepaid credit

After you add a payment method, your trial period will automatically end.

## Add your business profile

Update your [Account profile](https://manage.serverpilot.io/account/profile) with information about your business. This information will be used for your invoices.

## Enable 2FA

We recommend you enable two-factor authentication in your account’s [2FA settings](https://manage.serverpilot.io/account/2stepauth). You can use a 2FA application such as Google Authenticator or a password manager with 2FA support such as 1Password.

## Referral program

With ServerPilot’s referral program:

- The accounts you refer get a $10 credit when they sign up using your referral link.
- You earn a $25 credit once a referred account spends their first $25 for ServerPilot’s services.
